You should have arrived here from my cutie patootie friend, Emily Leiphart’s blog.  If you didn’t, then you should totally start at the MAMA ELEPHANT BLOG, which is the beginning of today’s Stampede because you’re not going to want to miss a thing!

I am thrilled and honored to be included among the brilliantly talented designers that Kryssi and Angela have invited along to celebrate their 2nd Anniversary!  I am a huge fan of Mama Elephant, their products, and the two adorable ladies behind the name – Kryssi and Angela.  I am beyond happy for them and their enormous success!  I know that there will be many, many more celebrations like this to come, so hold on to your hats, ME fans!!  But enough blathering on – let’s get to my project, shall we?

Anniversary Stampede Let It Snow

I was lucky enough to work with the Season’s Greetings Stamp set, and the minute I laid eyes on it, I was in love.  At first glance, this set spoke “Classy Elegant” to me.  As much as I love that style, I really wanted to stretch this set’s uses by trying out a clean and graphic styled project.  I also wanted to do something a little “unexpected” in terms of the color scheme – hence, the black and white.

HOW TO
I die cut the snow slopes using the Landscape Trio Creative Cuts.  I stamped the sentiment from Season’s Greetings in VersaMark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I adhered the snow slopes to the black card base with foam tape.  I then stamped the snowflakes included in the Season’s Greetings set in VersaMark and heat embossed them – some using black embossing powder on white card stock, and some using white embossing powder on black card stock.  I die cut them out using some stacking circle dies that I had in my stash, and then adhered the white ones on the black, and the black ones on the white, all with foam tape.  I adhered some red gems to the centers of the snowflakes and wrapped some baker’s twine on the top of the card.  I also rounded the two bottom corners.  I’ve listed all of the products that I used below.  All of the newly released Mama Elephant products can be found HERE!
