I’m so excited to be here to share a couple of “outside the box” takes on the recently released Fancy Flowers Card Kit from My Favorite Things!  This Kit is GORGEOUS!!  The line art floral images are so beautiful and stunningly detailed!!  And the bold sentiment dies are the perfect shade of graphic to go with those amazingly beautiful flowers!  They really lend themselves to just about any card style and occasion out there! And it can all be YOURS right now by clicking on through to the My Favorite Things Online Boutique HERE!

My brains seriously exploded when I saw the contents of the Fancy Flowers Card Kit, and I had a blast executing a couple of my ideas!  My first card was inspired by a card that Laura Bassen created recently.  I loved the idea of the partially die cut flower (using the Fancy Flowers Die-Namics – included in the Kit) out of the tag (the Stitched Traditional Tag Die-Namics are not part of the Kit).  And I also had a blast masking and ink blending the flower from the Fancy Flowers Stamp Set, and the die cut sentiment (created by using the “hugs” die from the Words For Friends Die-Namics, included in the Kit).  I’ve listed the products that I used below.

My second project features one of my favorite looks – black and white against a beautiful ink blended background.  The details on the Fancy Flowers Stamp Set are so freakin’ amazing that they don’t even need to be colored in order to have a bold impact!  So I created a masked, embossed and ink-blended oval (using the Inside & Out Oval STAX Die-Namics – not included in the Kit) in the center of a stitched rectangle (using Blueprints 15 Die-Namics – also not included in the Kit).  The sentiment (using the Words For Friends Die-Namics) was die cut from Black Licorice Card Stock, adhered to the card with foam tape, glittered up with a bit of Clear Wink of Stella, and a generous coat of Glossy Accents to really give it that extra bit of BAM!  The focal flower was stamped on Smooth White Card Stock using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and die cut using the coordinating Fancy Flowers Die-Namics.  Again, the products that I used are listed below.

No stamp collection should be without this amazing Card Kit!!

That’s it for me today, my sweet friends!!!  I’m in Seattle with my family celebrating the holidays!  So things will be a bit quiet around here for a few days!  I’ll be back on Friday with another crafty project.  Until then, thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you’re having a lovely holiday season!!
