My Favorite Things - WSC 344!

Hello!!

I’m popping in today to share a project that I created that was inspired by this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge! It’s a super fun sketch, that leaves the possibility for creativity wide open! Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my take on the sketch:

Okay, you all know that I just don’t follow the rules well!  LOL  I love to look at a sketch and turn it and twist it, and make it be something that works for me! I just HAD to turn it on it’s side and make it be a vertical, top-folding card instead of a horizontal card!  Here’s how I created it:

1. Trim an A2, vertical top-folding card base from Smooth White Card Stock.  Score at 5.5”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
2. Trim a 4.25” x 5.5” image panel from Smooth White Card Stock and use the Stitched Scalloped Edges Die-Namics to die cut the bottom edge.
3. Die cut the word THANKS from the image panel using the Bottlecap Letters Die-Namics.
4. Die cut the flower from Poppy Card Stock, Limelight Card Stock and Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Flowers Die-Namics.  Adhere the flower pieces together with foam adhesive.  Adhere the assembled flower to the image panel with foam squares.
5. Trim a 4.25” x 5.5” panel from red gingham patterned paper (from the Tiny Checks Brights 6 x 6 Paper Pack) and adhere it to the card base.  Trim two .25” x 4.25” strips of red gingham paper and adhere them to the top of the image panel.
6. Adhere the image panel to the card base using foam squares.
