My Favorite Things–Wednesday Sketch Challenge #402!

Hello again!

MFT_SketchChallenge_2017Logo

As promised, I’m back again today to share a project that was inspired by this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  I loooooved this week’s sketch and instantly pulled a card together.  Sketches inspire me, they spark my creativity always, so if you’re ever struggling with your mojo, I say try a sketch, because they can really jump start your creative juices!!  Here’s the sketch:

And here’s how it inspired me:

So the clean and simple nature of this week’s sketch really inspired me.  I immediately pulled out my alcohol inks (Flamingo, Patina and Sunshine Yellow) to create a “smeared” rainbow on some heavyweight Yupo paper.  I die cut an aperture from my Smooth White image panel using the Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Rectangles and placed that rainbow behind it.  Both panels were adhered to an A2 Smooth White card base.  The sentiment is from the From Me to You Stamp Set, and was stamped onto some Translucent Vellum using VersaMark and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  I die cut it using the Stitched Clouds Die-Namics.  The hearts were die cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the heart dies from the Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-Namics.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the other spectacular designs that my teammates have created using this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  And while you’re there, why not link up a project of your own for a chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique!  It’s a random draw, so what do you have to lose?!!

That’s it for me today, friends!!  I’ll be back very soon with more crafty goodness to share!  Until then, I hope you have a great day!!

So beautiful and inspirational!! I love those colors of alcohol ink, and the embossing on vellum make this card stand out. Thanks for sharing.
