Paper Smooches Goodies–Free Spirits

Happy Friday, friends!!

Well, we are right smack dab in the middle of wedding central.  It is CA-RAZY around here!  We have two more sleeps to the big day – at this point, I’ll be sleeping for a week afterwards!  LOL  But it’s coming together nicely!  Yay!

Needless to say,  I haven’t had much time to be crafty unless it’s related to the wedding.  But I wanted to pop in quickly to share the projects that I created for the new Paper Smooches set called Free Spirits.  OH EM GEE!!  This set is amazingly versatile, with super fun images and both coordinating and stand alone dies that make it AWESOME for commemorating any occasion that involves cocktails!  My first project features that hilarious sentiment – “You had me at merlot.”  Isn’t that a riot?!  I immediately thought of a white wine glass falling in love with a red wine glass.  Of course, I had to animate them – are they not hysterical?!  I used the Free Spirits Icons (small wine glass) as well as the Drink Glass Dies (large wine glass).  I’ve listed the other projects I used below.

I also thought it would be super fun to create a coordinating wine bottle tag and some wine glass charms.  How fun would it be to bring this as a hostess gift?  The Wine Tag is a new PS die that should be in every craft collection!  What’s different about the PS die is that little mini tag on the neck of the wine bottle – see it?  That tag is cut at the same time as the bigger wine bottle tag.  So I just stamped another sentiment from the Free Spirits stamp set and tied it to the neck of the bottle with some baker’s twine.  Fun. right?!

How about some coordinating wine glass charms?  I used the Free Spirits Icons and Drink Glasses dies to punch out some chalkboard cardstock.  I added some blingy beads (Michael’s in the jewelry section) to some wine glass charm rings and attached each chalkstock wine glass with a jump ring (Michael’s in the jewelry section).  I used a white chalk pencil to personalize each tag.  What’s so fun is that these tags can be used over and over again!  The chalk pencil wipes right off for next time!

Karolyn - Free Spirits Wine Charms Close Up

Here’s a close up of the wine glass charms.  They took all of twenty minutes to create.  What a great hostess gift, right?!

I didn’t take a photo of it, but I decided to use a hole punch along the scalloped edge of the wine bottle tag, and then attached the wine glass charms so that they dangled down.  A super fun gift presentation, don’t you think?

Well, that’s it for me today, kids.  I’ve got a lot of last minute details to take care of today, mani/pedi day and rehearsal dinner tomorrow, and then the big day!!  I’ll try to pop in next week with some wedding photos to share.  Maybe after a verrrrryyyyy long nap!  LOL  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend!
