My Favorite Things–Release Replay!

Hello!!

Today’s the day that the My Favorite Things Design Team take a second look at the July Release products and share them in a new light!  I actually created two projects with a similar angle!

I used the new Heart-Shaped Balloon Die-Namics to create a flower (the leaves are from the Stitched Flowers Die-Namics) in a pot (Perfect Planters Die-Namics), and used that to complete the word LOVE from the Happy Greetings Die-Namics.  The image panel was die cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX Die-Namics.  The sentiment, from the More Essential Sentiments Stamp Set was stamped in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. Very clean and simple, and utilizes the Heart-Shaped Balloon Die-Namics in an unexpected way!

I stamped one of the darling kitten images from the Smitten Kitten Stamp Set, colored him with Copic Markers, and die cut him with the coordinating Smitten Kitten Die-Namics.  I did a bit of light ink blending on the image panel (die cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Blueprints 25 Die-Namics).  I die cut the stacked HELLO (three layers of Smooth White Card Stock, and one layer of Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots 6 x 6 Paper Pad) using the Happy Greetings Die-Namics, and adhered it to the image panel.  I stamped the sentiment, from the Smitten Kitten Stamp Set, in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.  I adhered a strip of black and white striped paper (from the Black & White 6 x 6 Paper Pad) to the bottom of the card base, and adhered to the image panel to the card base using foam squares.  The cutie kitten is sitting pretty on top of the die cut sentiment.

Both of these make for super quick cards to send off to a friend just because.  I mean, let’s face it – the just because cards are the BEST to get in your mailbox, right?!  Please click on through to the My Favorite Things Design Blog to be linked to the other fresh takes using the July Release from rest of the design team!
