My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #547: Sittin' Pretty!

Hello again!

As promised, I'm back today to share my project that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! It's an awesome sketch, and open to many interpretations! If you squint your eyes together, hopefully you can see the sketch in my design (I know . . . it's a "loose" interpretation of the sketch. LOL). I pulled out the Sittin' Pretty Stamp Set for my design, and had a blast coloring her up, and stenciling a simple background! Here's the sketch:

And here's my design!

What's not to love about a red door?! And that sweet girl sitting on the stoop, waiting for someone she misses. It seems like that's the general theme these days . . . we're always missing someone, right?! I used the Small Brick Wall Stencil and some Cement Gray Dye Ink to create the house, and the Grassy Edges Stencil and Limelight Dye Ink to create the yard in the background. I just love all of the images in the Sittin' Pretty Stamp Set, and will definitely be pulling it out again very soon! I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects that my very talented teammates have created for your inspiration using this week's sketch! And while you're there, why not link up a design of your own for a chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you can't win if you don't play along!

That'll do it for me until Friday, when I'll be back with a design inspired by this month's Outside the Box Challenge! Until then, thank you so much for stopping by and have an outstanding day!

My Favorite Things - June Vault Release!

Hello everyone!

The time has finally arrived for you to grab all of the amazing Birdie Brown Stamp Sets and coordinating dies that you've been waiting for! I don't know how you all will choose, because they're all so brilliant! And I would imagine that all of the incredible projects that my teammates have been sharing with you all will make it even harder to decide! I pulled out the Mon Cheri Stamp Set and paired it with my favorite EZ-Lights to light up that little street lamp. And I'm so incredibly happy with how it turned out!

I used one of the more recently released Birdie Brown stamp sets for the sentiment - the Sittin' Pretty Stamp Set. I colored the image using my Copic Markers, I ink blended the background using the Oval Extraordinaire Stencil and I used my detail scissors to remove the inside of the lamp area, and adhered some vellum behind the stamp image. I built the EZ-Lights mechanism on the card base, and punched a hole towards the bottom of the lamp so that the light would shine through. Here's a quick video clip to show you how fun it looks all lit up!

I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used, including live links to the newly re-released Vault products! All are available for purchase now, and can be found by clicking on the graphic below!

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other tremendously darling projects that my fellow teammates have created for your inspiration! And while you're there, be sure and leave a comment on each of the linked blogs for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you can't win, if you don't comment!

That's it for me today, kids! I'll be back again tomorrow with a project inspired by this week's Sketch Challenge! Until then, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

My Favorite Things - December Release Countdown Day 4: More Fun Sneak Peeks!

Hello again!

I'm back with another darling project using more of the December Release products! Today's project features the "FREE with $60 Purchase" Sending You Hugs Die-Namics, and I paired it with the I'll Love You Forever Stamp Set and the Fanfare Background Stamp!

I was inspired to created another encouragement/connection card for one of my grandkids! The "FREE with $60 Purchase" Sending You Hugs Die-Namics is absolutely perfect for today's times. When we find ourselves separated from those we love for extended periods of time, one of the ways to maintain connection is to send sweet messages of love and encouragement. The I'll Love You Forever Stamp Set, the latest in the Birdie Brown collection, is absolutely perfect for reminding those you love how important they are to you. I stamped the giraffe image, colored it with my Copic markers, and die cut it out using the Selfie Square Die-Namics. I adhered the image to a Polaroid Shaker Frame die cut, and stamped the sentiment from the I'll Love You Forever Stamp Set. I stamped the Fanfare Background Stamp onto a panel of white card stock using white pigment ink, heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and die cut the panel using the stitched rectangle die from the Slimline Starter Die-Namics. I blended three shakes of green die ink to create the leafy background. I die cut the Sending You Hugs Die-Namics from the background panel, and adhered the panel to a Kraft slimline card base (7" x 8.5", scored at 3.5" on the 7" side). I adhered the assembled polaroid to the panel using foam squares, and adhered some hearts. I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below (although the links to the new products won't be live until the release.)

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other tremendous projects that my fellow teammates have created for your inspiration using today's featured December Release products! And while you're there, be sure and leave a comment for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! One winner will be chosen for every day of the countdown, but you have to comment in order to have a chance to win! All of the December Release products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM EST!

And that'll finish me off for today! I'll be back in a few days with another countdown project! Until then, please stay safe and have an awesome day!
