Happy St. Paddy's Day, Friends!!

Pinch me PLEASE!!  I feel like I'm living in a dream right now!!  I just got another HAPPY EMAIL from Susan Opel at Paper Crafts Magazine for another one of my cards!!!  The one they chose (sorry, I can't share it with you until September!) will appear in the September/October issue of Paper Crafts Magazine.  Are you KIDDING ME?!!  Needless to say, I am beside myself with happiness and glee.  I know I'm lucky because the odds were totally against me - there were 925 submissions and 338 of them were for Halloween (the only category that I submitted for), to fill 80 spots in the issue.  There were 66 designers and 11 brand newbies chosen, so I seriously did NOT expect to get an email today.  But let me tell you, I am one happy leprechaun for sure!!

Okay, I think I've gushed enough for one day.  Thank you for indulging me.  Before I go, there's a really fun lady who is once again hosting a Reject Blog Hop.  Dr. Amber of Damask Love is the hostess with the mostess.  Check out all the fabulous rejects HERE.  I'm happily including my reject from this call.  I've submitted this puppy to death and no one has picked it up, so I think I'll put a fork in it.  I personally thought it was stinkin' cute, especially since it uses the bat from Paper Smooches' Falling For You set.  This is actually version 2 of one that I created for a CARDS Magazine call that was REJECTED, too!  LOL  But I'm okay with it . . . really, I am!

Paper Smooches Co-Hop!

Hello Friends!!

Have you heard?  Kim Hughes opened a stamp company on February 1st called Paper Smooches!  And believe me when I tell you, these new stamps are ca-YUTE!!  On the first day of every month, she’ll be releasing THREE new whimsical and fun clear stamp sets that she hand draws.  Kim asked me to create a card using one of her February stamp sets.  I used Falling For You on today's card.


She offers high quality photopolymer clear stamps, shaped card templates, a design center and so much more!  There will be a monthly challenge on the the Paper Smooches Blog (free digi stamps are involved)!  Participants will be eligible to be a guest designer for the following month.

Kim was nice enough to include me with 19 other amazingly talented women – women who I’ve been in awe of since I’ve been involved in this industry.  Seriously, I’ve just been pinching myself since Kim asked me to help her today.  Perhaps she did because I ply her with Vente White Chocolate Mochas every Tuesday.  Or maybe it’s because I threatened to beat her with her crutches.  Whichever it is, I am humbled beyond belief to be included among these super talented women.  Please be sure and visit each of their blogs to see the creative deliciousness that they’ve come up with to showcase Kim’s Paper Smooches Stamps:

Hi Peeps!

 

As promised, I’m back today with something very, very special . . . sort of a sneak peek to whet your appetite for another fun event that will take place tomorrow.

This is a sample that I created for a BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW STAMP LINE called Paper Smooches!!  My sweet friend, Kim Hughes, has created a new stamp line based on her incredibly fun and whimsical artistic visions!  Seriously, this girl is an absolute artistic genius, and I have been having a blast creating with her new stamps.  Her new store, Paper Smooches, opened up yesterday, and I was blessed to be there to witness the excitement that her fans showered upon her on her first day.  The new stamp sets were literally flying out the door!!

 

So back to my card – it was created using one of the three new releases for February, Falling For You.  And believe me when I tell you that this is just one of the darling images in this set.  Check out all the images in the thumbnail here.  Her design team consists of some absolute ROCK STARS!!  Wait until you see all of their beautiful samples to inspire you – you’re going to be blown away, I promise!!
