My Favorite Things–February Interactive Video!

Hello again!

As promised yesterday, I’m popping in quickly to share a project that I created for my monthly interactive video!!  I ran across a wonderfully creative card designer on Instagram.  Her name is Beatriz Robles, the name of her blog is Ink & Paw Prints, and she very kindly gave me permission to recreate a version of THIS mechanism on my project this month!  I, of course, changed her design a bit to use MFT products.

When you pull the tab to the right, the super hero cat (from the new Super Cat Stamp Set) jumps into the sky from behind the cityscape (created using the new City Block Die-Namics)!  I created a different version of this card earlier this month using the wiper card mechanism, but I just loved Beatriz’s mechanism and had to try it!  I created a video showing you how I created this project, and you can find it over on the MFT YouTube Channel!  I’ve listed and linked the MFT Products that I used below.

I want to thank Beatriz for very kindly sharing her innovative mechanism with me!  I love it, and can’t wait to use it again!  Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today – I’m holed up in my craft room for the next several days to knock out some of my deadlines!  I hope that you have some lovely plans in store for your day!  It’ll be a little quiet around here while I get caught up, but I’ll be back with more crafty goodies to share with you very soon!

My Favorite Things–Wednesday Sketch #426!

Hello again!

I’m back again today, as promised, with a project that was inspired by this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  In fact, I loved the sketch so much, I used it to create my card for yesterday!  LOL

I pulled out my fave Stitched Cloud Edges Die-Namics to create a slanted bank of clouds.  I used the Sunrise Radiating Rays Stencil to create the sunrays behind the clouds, and the Inside & Out Stitched Circle Die-Namics to create the center of the sun, and the Simply Hello & Love You Die-Namics to create the stacked sentiment.  The word sunshine is from the Full of Sunshine Stamp Set, and was die cut using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strip Die-Namics.  I’ve listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the other fabulous creations that my sweet teammates have created for you!  While you’re there, why not link up a project inspired by this week’s sketch challenge of your own!  If you do, you’ll be eligible to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique!  It’s a random draw, so you have absolutely nothing to lose!

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’ll be frantically creating in my craft room today because I have lots and lots of deadlines looming over my head!  But I’ll be back tomorrow with a new project and a video to share with you, so I hope you’ll drop by again real soon!  Have an awesome day!

My Favorite Things–February Hits & Highlights!

Hello friends!!

I’m back today with a super fun project that I created for this month’s Hits & Highlights feature!!  This month, the DT was challenged to play with our Tic Tac Toe pieces!!  Here’s what I came up with!

I adhered the the X’s and O’s from the Tic Tac Toe White and Tic Tac Toe Black to my red angled panel with some Glossy Accents.  They were super easy to adhere, and I think add a super fun and unexpected dimension to the card.  The sentiment was created by doing a bit of “stamp surgery” to two sentiments from the Birdie Brown Greetings Galore Stamp Set!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

That’s it for me today, my friends!! I’ll be back tomorrow with another sketch project for you, so I hope you’ll drop by again real soon!  Have a great day!

My Favorite Things–Birthday Project Challenge: Numbers!

Hello friends!

Yes, I know it’s been quiet around here!  Busy, busy, busy!!  I’ve been crafting my little fingers to the bone, so I have lots to share with you very, very soon!  But before that happens, I have a project that I created for this month’s Birthday Project Challenge!  And it’s a fun one!

I have two grandkid birthdays in March, and another one in April, so lots of cute number birthday cards are needed for my stash!  I made this one for my grandson, Brenner, who will be turning 7 on the 11th of March!! So I had to pull out my Delightful Dinosaurs Stamp Set and paired it with the super fun Volcano Die-Namics!! I used the Bottlecap Numbers Die-Namics for the 7, and the Bottlecap Letters Die-Namics to personalize it with my grandson’s name!  I really wanted to make it interactive, but in the end decided to just get right to the point.  Oh, and I used my new Picket Fences “life changing” blending brushes with regular distress inks to blend the background and the dinosaur.  Ink blending fans – you MUST get these brushes!!  They truly are life changing!  I’ve listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration!  While you’re there, be sure and link up a project of your own using a number for a chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique!  It’s a random draw, so you’ve got nothing to lose!

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’m filming and editing again today, so will be very busy getting that done!  I hope you have some awesome plans in store for your day and weekend! Thanks for dropping by – I’ll be back very soon!

My Favorite Things–Wednesday Sketch #424!

Hello my loves!!

I’m popping in today to share a fun project that was inspired by this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  I used one of my favorite older MFT Stamp Sets – the Meant to Bee Stamp Set, and the Honeycomb Background Stamp.  Here’s this week’s Sketch:

And here’s my interpretation of the sketch:

You can see I used the Stitched Hexagon STAX Die-Namics  to represent the circles in the sketch.  I dry embossed to the two upper hexagons using an Embossing Pad and my Big Shot (I love this look).  And the rest is from the Meant to Bee Stamp Set.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects inspired by this week’s Sketch Challenge.  And while you’re there, why not link up a project of your own using the sketch as your inspiration for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique!  It’s a random draw, so you’ve got nothing to lose!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I’ll be hanging out in my craft room today – trying to get a video filmed and edited!  I hope you have some awesome plans in store for your day! Have a good one!

My Favorite Things–February Release: MFT & Friends!

Hello lovelies!!

The February 2019 New Release is now live and available for purchase!  But before you go spend your money, please hang around a little bit to check out my project for today!  It features the new Party Penguins Stamp Set and coordinating dies, and the new Tag Builder Blueprints 7 – which I’m quite excited to say had a minor hand in designing!  I paired these two new products to create a super fun pendulum card.

The new Party Penguins Stamp Set is a really fun two-step set that allows you to stamp the penguin’s body, and their feet and beak separately!  And the new Tag Builder Blueprints 7 are great for creating a stand-alone focal area.  I’m so excited about both of these new products!!  When you tilt the card, the penguin dances from side to side.  Here’s a quick video clip of what it looks like in action.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects that my teammates and some of MFT’s friends have created for your inspiration using this month’s new release!  While you’re there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win one of TWO $100 Gift Vouchers to the MFT Online Boutique!  Two random winners will be chosen from the comments throughout the hop!  All of the February 2019 New Release products are available for purchase NOW and can be found by clicking on the graphic below.

That’s it for me today, my friends!  In fact, it’ll be a little quiet around here for the next several days! Hubby and I are headed to Washington, DC for my birthday!  I’m super excited to see all of the sights and enjoy a little getaway!  Thanks so much for stopping by today – I sure do appreciate the time you spend here with me.  I’ll be back very soon with more crafty goodness!!

My Favorite Things–February 2019 Release Countdown Day 1!

Hello, sweet friends!!

I’m back once again with another February 2019 Release Countdown Project! And I have to say, that I’m pretty stinkin’ happy about this one!  It features the new Spectacular Birthday Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  When I saw that juggling clown cat in the set, I knew I had to make those juggling balls move!  So, I figured out a way to do that with the Peek-A-Boo Wheel Die-Namics!!  Check it out!

And here’s a quick video of the juggling balls in action:

I was pretty stinkin’ proud of myself for figuring this one out.  I used two nesting Circle STAX dies to do a partial die cut on the image panel.  I snipped off the two ends of the channel that I created with my scissors.  And then I used enamel dots for the balls, although the Spectacular Birthday Stamp Set has a series of balls that you can stamp and die cut, too!  I hope to have a full video of my process on this card later on this month!  Until then, I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the spectacular projects that my teammates have created!  While you’re there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique.  There’s one random winner per Release Countdown Day!  All of the February Release Products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10 AM EST!

That’s it for me today!  I’m still under a huge stack of laundry, as we’re getting ready to head out of town for a couple of days!  But I’ll be back tomorrow with another project for this month’s release, so I hope you’ll come again to check it out!  Thanks so much for stopping by – have an awesome day!

My Favorite Things–February 2019 Release Countdown Day 2!

Hello again, my friends!!

I’m back again today to share another project featuring two of the new February Release Products that are soooo stinkin’ cute that I just can’t even imagine that you won’t love them as much as I do!  The new For the Record Stamp Set and the Turntable Die-Namics are really fun and easy to assemble!

I die cut the parts of the Turntable Die-Namics from Black Licorice, Poppy, Smooth White, and Brushed Silver Card Stock.  I stamped the sentiment from the For the Record Stamp Set, and then assembled the turntable – easy peasy!  I love the clean and simple look of this card, yet it still has a ton of interest!  And the sentiments in the For the Record Stamp Set are perfectly sweet and punny, and great for men or women, young or old!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used on this project below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration!  While you’re there, please leave some love along the way for another chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique.  One lucky winner will be picked for every single day of the Release Countdown!  All of the February 2019 Release Products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM EST!

My Favorite Things–February 2019 Release Countdown Day 3!

Hello again!!

I’m back again with another post featuring more of the upcoming February 2019 Release products!  This one features the new Birthday Blend Stamp Set, and if you are inspired by clean and simple/graphic stamp sets, you are going to LOVE this new set!

Isn’t it so fun?!!  The new Birthday Blend Stamp Set is a multi-step stamp, that allows you to stamp each letter a different color, and then overlap every other letter with the first stamp impression.  It takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you do, I think you all are going to love this set as much as I do!  I paired it with a sentiment from another new set called Birthday Bear & Friends Stamp Set, and the previously released Happy Birthday Candles Die-Namics to create a camouflage effect!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other stamptacular projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration!  While you’re there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique!  A new winner will randomly be chosen for every day of the Release Countdown!  All of the February 2019 New Release Products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM EST.

My Favorite Things–February 2019 Release Countdown Day 4!

Hello my loves!!

I’m back again today with TWO projects featuring several of the new February Release products!!  There's lots of pictures, so I hope you stick with me!!  My first project was inspired by a video that Jennifer McGuire did several months ago showing the Peek-A-Boo Card Technique.  I thought the Oh My Gostrich Stamp Set would be perfect for this technique, and I really wanted to try it!  I also used the new Card-Sized Confetti Stencil Set on the inside of the card.  Here’s a picture of what it looks like on the outside:

And here’s what the inside looks like when you open the front flap:

And of course I had to add a quick film clip of the card in action because you just have to see how fun this technique is!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products for this project below.

My second project features the new Raccoon Cutie Die-Namics.  Valentine’s Day is coming very soon, so I knew that this adorable little raccoon would be perfect for a super easy to make treat container (I used a mini coffee bag that I had in my stash for the bag).  These would be super fun and easy to mass produce, and very inexpensive!  Again, I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used for this project below.

Please click on through to the MFT Online Boutique to be linked to the other adorable projects that my sweet teammates have created for your inspiration.  While you’re there, be sure and leave some love along the way to be eligible for a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique.  A random winner will be chosen for every day of the this month’s Release Countdown posts.  All of the February 2019 Release products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM EST.

That’s it for me, my friends!  I’ll be back in my craft room (I’m still soooo behind!) working on knocking out more deadlines for this week’s release!  I’ll be back again tomorrow with another release project, so I hope you’ll come back real soon to check it out!  Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
